Professional Counseling Services opened in Killeen in 1973 by Warren Townsend LCSW, BCD. At the time, PCS was the only full time private counseling in Bell or Coryell Counties. Linda Townsend RN, MS, CS, LPC joined the practice in 1979 and the Copperas Cove office was opened.

Warren and Linda Townsend are the owners of Professional Counseling Service and have extensive experience working with individuals, couples and families. They were among the first therapists in the area to work with PTSD relative to combat veterans, beginning with those impacted by the Vietnam War. They also have expertise in helping military families cope with issues, such as deployment, loss and frequent moves.

Gradually, over the years, PCS has expanded in response to the increasing need in our community for counseling. Our practice now includes several therapists at both office locations providing a comprehensive services to children and families in the surrounding area.
